The countdown appears in the tab title, so you can switch away and still see it. Keep this tab open for the chime to sound. Full screen fills the display with the clock — useful across a room, in a classroom, or on a second monitor — and keeps the screen awake while it runs.

Will it still work if I switch tabs?
Yes. The countdown is measured against the clock rather than by counting ticks, so it stays accurate even when the browser slows a background tab down. Keep the tab open for the sound to play.
Why can I not hear the alarm?
Browsers block sound until you interact with the page. Pressing Start counts, so the alarm will play. Check your device is not muted.
Can I show the timer full screen?
Yes — press Full screen and the clock fills the display, which is what you want for a classroom, a workshop, or a second monitor across the room. The controls fade out after a couple of seconds so only the number remains; move the mouse or tap to bring them back. Press Escape or Exit full screen to return.
Will my screen go to sleep during the countdown?
Not in full screen. The timer holds a wake lock while it is running, so a phone or laptop will not dim or lock partway through. Normal power saving resumes as soon as the timer stops.
What is the 25 minute preset for?
The Pomodoro technique — twenty-five minutes of focused work followed by a short break. It is a common enough pattern to be worth a button.
